Hey Jill. I love your WWW trilogy and was wondering if you plan to re-visit Tobin, Clio, ect. all those characters. and if you plan to add another book to that? maybe you can call it whimsical or wistful haha. Love your books! -Cleo |

Well, it's back up and working. No new site yet. A few more months, I think. Cleo! What good timing you have! While I'm not doing another book tied to that medieval trilogy, I have a whole new medieval trilogy coming out next year. Three books, three sisters. all 3 books published within 3 or 4 months, 1,2,3, set in medieval Scotland. To that new trilogy, there is probably a 4th book, but I haven't written it yet. A secondary character might need her own story, which could take us to another medieval setting that I don't want to give away yet. As for the whimsey of my books, I just write them as they come to me and some books come with more fun than others, merely because of secondaries like Thud and Thwack and the timeless, ageless, Old Gladdys (who makes an appearance in these books). This new trilogy is really about the women, who are each strong in their own way, strong in actions or thoughts or spirit, strong within the world of women in those days--a scrapper, a fighter, and a healer. The first book in the trilogy is quite an adventure, the second book classic JB, and the third book is what I would say is more of a JB tender story, like Wild with a little adventure added in, great heroine and hero, but it rounds out the trilogy with a great last scene between sisters that I just love! I have been told Book One is the best romance I've written since Bewitching, because of its unique plot, its breadth of feeling, and unusual heroine. When the new site comes up, there will pub dates and info and insights, along with what I'm working on and some chances to revisit characters in past books. I will not say that I will never write a story tied to the W's. I had a great idea for one but never wqrote it. Perhaps it will come in its own time. I am so excited about these new books. I hope readers will embrace them for all their unique premises and different heroines. Nothing in these books is predictable, except for their happy endings. Best,
Jill Barnett |
