"Surrender A Dream"

February I read The Heart's Haven for the first time and in April I read Surrender A Dream.

I do love these historicals that take place out on the California frontier. Addie was a great heroine. She was spunky, smart and didn't let anything stop her from moving forward to reach her dreams. Not even a bitter yet tender man like Montana. I think Montana, for all his stubborn faults, is one of my top five heroes in romantic fiction.

The book has Jill's trademark humor and her amazing ability to dig into tragedy and find hope. And I was a little surprised at some of the turns of events involving the railroad and the robberies. It's not often I'm surprised, and that makes me love the book even more.

Surrender a Dream is very satisfying, fun and emotional read for a wonderfully sunny Easter weekend. I'm glad April kept reminding me I hadn't read it yet. Now, I think the only two books I haven't read are Carried Away and Just A Kiss Away. Hmm, what will I read next?

   Mireya here!

I read this book in 2000. I still remember it and to tell you the truth, I kept all of Jill's books. My husband, however, gave all my books to the library as donations thinking it was one of three boxes going there for that use. I cried. I still have a half of box full of the books I don't want. I'm "Jill-less" right now and I feel naked. I just bought "Bewitched", (my favorite), and I still feel bad because Jill signed a personal note in one of the books. She gave a book to all of us on the board for a Christmas gift. My hubby felt bad but I made him promise me that when we have our house again, he's to build me a library. He said yes. In the mean time its wonderful to see your name here and to see all these wonderful new names talking about our Jill. I miss you Naomi! I also like your writing style. Keep up the great work! (I still don't know much about computer's........so what's a durn "blog"?

Mireya

A blog's like an online diary. You post an entry and then, for some, people can leave comments.

http://princessapr.blogspot.com is mine. I mostly have one to share photos with long-distance family, but I also chronicle everything we do and spout randomness. (For instance, today is Sexy Friday which I post every Friday of beefcake. I've made it co-ed recently for the like 3 men who read my blog.)

I miss you, too, Mireya! I hope you are doing well. And I'm glad to see you back on the bb.

I'm so sorry you lost your Jill books! I may have some extra copies. If I do, I can send them to you. Let me now in a PM or email.

Blog is basically a web log. I use mine to talk about random things. I started it mostly to log my progress with my story. Now it's totally random stuff, except for Fridays.
