I'm running out of people to tell, but I got promoted today! The title is lame, but my boss sang my praises and gave me a raise which is always fun.

Because it's February sweeps on tv, I haven't been reading a lot. Plus, my bowling league starts up tonight, but I hope to read more soon. I have Pam Jenoff's Almost Home to read for book club. I've never read her before, but the cover is pretty. Also, I have J.D. Robb's latest In Death book arriving next week and (finally) What I Did For Love by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I ordered them together before realizing J.D. Robb's release date was at the END of February.

Plus, next month, it's my turn to pick the book club book. I'm thinking Curtis Sittenfeld's American Wife even though I didn't love the last book we read of hers for book club. Plus, my book club is going to see Jodi Picoult when she comes to town next month. So, next month, I plan to read more.

That's terrific news! And while I already knew, that doesn't mean I'm any less excited!

I have great news as well...I have a job for at least the next two months. It's not great pay, but it's better than UI and it's working for someone I love working with in a small company work environment.

Yay us!

That really is good news. Any positive step helps in your job search and this is good networking, too. Hopefully, it'll lead to more positive things right now.
