"JB Book Discussions?"

It's a new year and we've never really discussed Jill's books on this bb. At least not in the last few years. Since we know there are some new books coming (YAY!), perhaps it would be a great idea to discuss a book a month. We could discuss our favorite books, books in order of release, whatever.

I think this would be a great way to anticipate some great new Jill Barnett stories.

What do you think?

I'm game. I can't promise a full reread, but I'd like to try. I reread That Summer Place last year for fun. I'd love to read one of the older ones?

Have you read them all? Which do you think we should read first?

   I'm game too.
Again, like April, can't promise a full re-read, but JB books are ones I still have good memory of (my memory's been failing of late. Sigh, it sucks to get old).

Yay! At least a few of you are game. Hehehe!

I haven't read them all, and I think I'm missing a book or two. I was wondering if we want to start with The Heart's Haven, since I haven't read it yet and I hear so many good things about it. Should we start next week?

The only Jill book I don't have is Surrender a Dream. I thought I had that, but I don't. That means there are only three books I haven't read - Heart's Haven, Surrender a Dream and Just A Kiss Away.

That works for me. I have them all. I have a couple copies of Heart's Haven and Just a Kiss Away. I think Surrender a Dream just had the one cover. I LOVE The Heart's Haven. I even remember most of it. It's a short one so I may reread it because I'm procrastinating reading my bookclub book this week. We discuss it on Saturday.

I'm procrastinating reading my bookclub book for this Friday.

So, do you want read and post while reading, or read it and then discuss? I'm not thinking anything formal. Just post a topic regarding the book to discuss.

I'm excited!

It's up to you. If you haven't read it, I'd recommend posting after you finish so we don't spoil anything. I'm not sure if I'll read the entire thing (though it usually doesn't take me long when I reread this one). I REALLY need to finish my bookclub book. This one is one of my favorites so I'll definitely have something to add though. You know, like I wish it was longer...

   Ok.
I have most JB books in duplicates, if not triplicates.
Unfortunately, Surrender a Dream is one I have only one copy of. Otherwise, I'd send you one Naomi.
I'll take out Heart's Haven (I always mix this one up with Kristin Hannah's book).

I don't mix it with Kristin Hannah's (I assume you mean Handful of Heaven), but I do always think that Handful of Heaven is Jill Barnett's book. I believe I made this mistake the first time I was on this board. Since then, I've kept them straight. I definitely know I read them around the same time.
